Joyce has been an important part of Raffinee Schipperkes since she was a little girl; both in helping to show the Schips, and in often picking out the "special" puppies in the litter. She has been competing in Junior handing as soon as she became old enough, and she qualified for the 2001 Westminster show when she took Best Junior handler at the Southern Michigan Schipperke Club's 2000 Specialty.
